While aboard Bush Heli-Services 20min scenic flight, you will enjoy an
informative commentary of the rich history that Clermont has to offer.

Departing our base at 661 Peakvale Road we start our journey towards Clermont’s
township passing over the Copperfield Chimney and the original General Store.
Clermont was the first town in Queensland to open a Coppermine, running from
1862 the 1880’s. We are lucky enough to still have remanence of the original structures

standing today. Your flight path will then make a loop around Clermont
where you can spot Hoods Lagoon on the edge of town. Once you have seen what
clermont has to offer, we then head towards the Theresa Creek Dam where you
will experience the sheer size of the dam which was constructed in 1983 by the
Blair Athol Coal Project to supply water for the town of Clermont. It is now
one of Clermont’s favorite and most picturesque spots for families, travelers,
and weekenders to enjoy.

 Clermont is one of the most historic towns in
northern Australia and has a colorful and engaging past.

While on the flight you will experience a bird’s eye view of the Clermont
township and Hoods Lagoon.

This historic town is filled with evidence of the days of gold rushes,
copper mines, timber getters and stockmen. Clermont is also famously known as
the ‘Town That Moved’. 

 On arrival back to the hanger there will be a chance of photos for
passengers with the helicopters.

Tour itinerary is subject to change at the will of the pilots due to

weather and any other circumstances.
